The Noisy Brain is a community-first project spreading mental health awareness, literacy and support through writing, music and peer groups. OUR HEALING JOURNEY People living with mental and emotional issues are still a marginalised group, often lacking opportunity to be listened to and understood. We believe that healing can’t happen in isolation, but has to be situated within a social context in which stories can be heard. The Noisy Brain provides such a context, hosting and positively framing mental illness stories that otherwise would remain invisible, and charged with shame and guilt. By focusing the tone on artistic expression and successful music production, we aim to encourage confidence and hope to help towards facilitating recovery with this creative and caring outlet. To help us pay for media and events that both contribute and campaign towards our causes, promote musicians with gigs and PR and also fund online therapy sessions for members of our community, we ask our supporters for a monthly subscription fee.
